Moses was a prophet who lived in the New Testament. Moses accomplishment's include rescuing the Israelites from Egypt, Parting the Red Sea, and becoming the first Judge of Israel.

[edit] Birth of Moses
Before Moses' birth, Pharaoh was informed about Moses, and that he would take God's people out of Egypt, leaving him with no slaves. Pharaoh decreed that all male babies had to be killed, but Moses' family put him in a basket and floated him on the river to avoid this. Pharaoh's daughter found him, and he was raised as one of Pharaoh's sons.
[edit] Early life of Moses
Moses was raised as one of Pharaoh's own sons, but he never forgot he was an Israelite. Once he saw an Egyptian beating one of his people to death and he killed the Egyptian. After this, Moses was cast out of Israel.
[edit] Moses' life outside of Egypt
Once he left Israel, he wandered through the desert, and was found by sheep herders. He because a sheep herder and married one of the daughters of the sheep herder who took him in, and had a son.
[edit] Moses and the Burning Bush
One day while Moses was herding sheep, he heard God talking to him through a bush. God told him to go back and rescue the Israelites from Pharaoh. Moses replied that he could not speak, and God told him to to take his brother Aaron.
[edit] Moses returns to Egypt
After this, Moses returned to Egypt as God said, and asked Pharaoh to let the slaves go. Naturally, Pharaoh refused.
[edit] Plagues
Moses brought about a series of Plagues, which resulted in Pharaoh releasing the Israelites.
Once the Israelites where free, Pharaoh changed his mind and send his army after them, who where drowned when Moses split the water of the sea and then closed the sea when they where in it.
[edit] Desert Wandering
During the rest of Moses' life, the Israelites wandered around the desert. God said that no one would be allowed to enter the promised land because they kept grumbling and didn't trust him.

After Moses disobeyed God, God told him he would not be allowed to enter the promised land. Moses was told that he could see the promised land, so he addressed the Israelites (which formed the book of Deuteronomy) and then died.
